Kübra Aktaran Seyhan, who graduated from the Psychology Department of Istanbul University, completed voluntary internships during her education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in Adult Mental Health and Disorders Department. She obtained her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Bahçeşehir University, earning the title of Specialist Clinical Psychologist. Throughout both her undergraduate and graduate studies, she has embraced a psychoanalytic/psychodynamic approach, completing her education and research in this field. Her thesis, titled "Examining the Relationship Between Body Image and Self-Concept in University Students Through Attachment Styles," aimed to explore the strong and undeniable connection between an individual's body and psyche, contributing to the field in this regard. During her Master's studies, she completed a 9-month internship at the Psychiatry Unit of Yedikule Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital, where she worked with psychotic patients, tobacco-alcohol-substance addicts, acute psychiatric disorders, and outpatient clinic visitors. She engaged in observation, group meetings organization, and psychotherapy sessions, receiving supervision to enhance her professional development and effectiveness in therapy sessions. She is certified as an EMDR Europe Accredited therapist and integrates psychodynamic and/or EMDR therapy in sessions based on the needs of her clients. Her English article titled "Attachment Theory, Self-Compassion and Body Image" was published in the International Journal of Human and Behavioral Science in 2019. Since 2015, she has been actively accepting clients, employing a psychoanalytic/psychodynamic perspective and offering EMDR therapy as needed. Committed to ethical principles, she aims to provide psychological support, help individuals understand and overcome their mental health issues, and guide them toward solutions tailored to their unique needs. Believing in the uniqueness of each individual, she focuses on understanding their unique psychological issues beyond illnesses or behaviors and finding personalized solutions.
