Hello, I'm Expert Clinical Psychologist Özlem Bektaşoğlu. After graduating from Maltepe University's Guidance and Psychological Counseling department in 2016, I completed my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Üsküdar University, focusing on my thesis titled "The Relationship between Coping with Nicotine Addiction and Attitudes towards Seeking Psychological Help" in 2018. Since 2018, I have been conducting both face-to-face and online sessions. During my undergraduate studies, I completed internships at Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Disorders Hospital, as well as various high schools, middle schools, and primary schools. I conducted my clinical psychology hospital internship at NP Istanbul Neuropsychiatry Hospital. During this time, I had the opportunity to work with various patient groups at NP Brain Hospital and participate in magnetic therapy studies such as TMU and ECT. At NP Brain Hospital, I conducted group therapies, art therapies, and individual therapy sessions as part of my internship. I received psychotherapy and personal development training from experts in the field and continue to develop myself through ongoing supervision and training processes. I worked as a school psychologist in private institutions, conducting follow-ups on child development processes and conducting studies on exam anxiety in middle and high school students while also seeing clients. In the institutions where I worked, I also organized educational seminars for parents, students, and teachers. In my psychotherapy sessions, I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR Therapy. I received basic training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Prof. Dr. Hakan Türkçapar. I completed EMDR 1st and 2nd Level trainings at the Institute of Behavioral Sciences. I am a member of the EMDR Turkey Association. Trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, OCD, self-esteem issues, anger management, eating disorders, and psychosomatic illnesses are among the areas I work with. Currently, I provide psychotherapy services to adult and adolescent clients at my own clinic.
