I am Clinical Psychologist İrem Akkan. I completed my education in the Psychology (English) program at FMV Işık University in 2021 with honors, finishing a year early. Afterward, I started the Clinical Psychology Master's program in 2021 and graduated in January 2023. During my master's program and the period following, I worked as a psychologist in kindergartens and also saw clients. Additionally, I volunteered as a psychologist at a private high school. At the end of 2023, I worked as a short-term clinical psychologist at a private hospital, and then I started working as a clinical psychologist at the Büyükçekmece Municipality. Currently, I see clients both in my own clinic and within the municipality. My areas of focus are adolescents and adults. **Trainings I Have Completed:** - I completed my EMDR Level 1 Training from the EMDR Association (Emre Konuk). - I completed my Schema Therapy Training from the Schema Therapy Association (ISST certified) (Alp Karaosmanoğlu). - My Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training is ongoing, and I am receiving it from Prof. Dr. Doğan Şahin. - My Gottman Couples Therapy training is currently in progress (The Gottman Institute). - I also administer the Moxo Attention Test and MMPI tests.
