Akademiye ve bilime duyduğum hazzın yanı sıra klinik pratikte de tecrübe kazanmak için İstanbul’da Humanite Psikiyatri Merkezi’nde çalıştım. Bugün, psikoterapide geniş bir eğitim ve deneyime sahip olmanın önemi kavramış, yaşam boyu öğrenmeyi hedefleyen biri olarak, uygulamalarımda farklı terapi yöntem ve tekniklerini bi arada kullandığım bütüncül bir yaklaşımı tercih ediyorum. I was born in Izmir on 5.2.1981. After graduating from Bozüyük Anatolian High School, I graduated with High Honor from the Near East University (English) Psychology Department in Cyprus in 2006 with a full scholarship, receiving the title of Psychologist. Head of the Department of Child Psychiatry at Ege University, Mr. I did an internship with Prof. Dr. Cahide Aydın. Later, I studied Development Master at Eastern Mediterranean University. I attended many Psychology and personal development congresses. I also received my Psychotherapy Competency Certificate from Istanbul Kent. I have E-Government approved, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Counselling, Couples Therapy, Sexual Therapy and Family Constellation Practitioner Certificates from the University. Finally, I added the title of Specialist Clinical Psychologist to my career by completing my Clinical Master's Degree (with Thesis) education at International Dublin University. It has been a long time. Hello. I am Expert Clinical Psychologist Selen Melay YANIKAN. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cyprus International University. I completed my master's degree with a high degree in Clinical Psychology at Near East University with a thesis. My thesis subject; "Comparison of Adult Individuals in Terms of Mate Selection, Attachment Styles and Interpersonal Problems, According to Their Parents' Marriage Status". I graduated from Bahçeşehir University, Department of English Psychology. I studied at Lessius University in Belgium through a student exchange program. After my undergraduate education, I completed my master's degree in Applied (Clinical) Psychology at Istanbul Haliç University. I attended many trainings and gave seminars regarding my personal and professional development. I completed the examination and supervision phase of the 350-hour Group Psychotherapy Training at the Istanbul Psychodrama Institute, which I entered in 2012, and received the title of Co-Psychodramatist. I graduated from TC Esenyurt University, Institute of Social Sciences, Clinical Psychology Master in 2018 and in 2010, TC Haliç University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology. In 2013, I was entitled to receive the Family Counseling certificate by successfully completing the 475-hour Family Counseling training given by Hasan Kalyoncu University and successfully passing the exam. I have been actively recruiting clients since 2010.

After graduating from the Department of Psychology (English) at Bahçeşehir University in 2015, she completed her master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Arel University in 2017 with her thesis on trauma and dissociation. Within the scope of her master's education, she received supervision training related to cognitive behavioral therapy, schema therapy and psychodynamic therapy schools for 1 year. He completed his compulsory internship in Gulhane Military Medical Academy Psychiatry Service. In the therapy process I carry out, I apply eclectic-oriented therapy protocols by focusing on the individual's needs and that the way each individual experiences and interprets problems may be different. In addition, especially anxiety disorders; I mainly use the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy school in cases where the clinical appearance is more symptomatic such as panic disorder, phobias, OCD, depressive disorders, grief counseling, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Family and Couple Therapy.
