Hello Dear Client Candidate, If we met here and you are reading these lines of mine on my page right now, there must be a reason. The reasons may vary. Every possibility is possible. Besides, there is an immutable fact that that reason(s) helped you to be here today, right now. I, as your psychologist, accompany you as much as possible in difficult life events, help you increase your self-awareness, shed light on the shadowy places about you or what you have been through, the emotions you feel and the sensations in your body; I am here to search for the meaning in chest pain, migraine, neck and back pain and explore together the resources you have on your life journey. So who am I? During my undergraduate education in Psychology at Özyeğin University, which I graduated as an honor student, I worked as a research assistant in various branches of psychology, such as Social and Political Psychology and Developmental Psychology, in the laboratories of our school. I had the opportunity to assist in a TÜBİTAK-supported research project conducted in our school's children's laboratory, examining the relationship between children's play behaviors and social-cognitive development, creativity, and language development. In the last year of my undergraduate education, after my 7-month internship at Kadıköy Florence Nightingale, I received a job offer in the "Patient Relations" position and worked at Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Medical Center for about 3 years. Within the framework of my duty, my ability to solve problems quickly and effectively by meeting with patients face to face and the positive and close relationship I established with inpatients of various age groups were very influential in my decision to advance my career in Clinical Psychology. As a result of this decision, I started my graduate education. Children, families and teachers with the "peer-based therapeutic approach through the establishment of attachment relationship" model developed for reintegrating children and young people at high risk into society in the "We are at SCHOOL: ÜSKÜDAR" project carried out under the umbrella of Maltepe University SOYAÇ (Children Living and Working on the Streets) since last year. I am working with. Last year, within the scope of the same program, I played a role in the implementation of the flexible resilience (RESCUR) program, which I contributed to the translation for the pre-school siblings of children at high risk, together with my other team psychologists. In addition, I am a volunteer psychologist at the Women's Solidarity Unit of the Kartal Municipality Life Quality Improvement Center and at the Muscle Diseases Association of Turkey (KASDER). I am working on my thesis on qualitative research with a somatic approach on the experiences of mothers whose babies were left in intensive care due to preterm birth. Currently, I see clients under the supervision of the International "Body Psychotherapy" training provided by the NHS foundation of trust – Maltepe University SOYAC. So what is body psychotherapy and how does it work? Mindfulness, yoga, somatic experimentation, the body keeps records… do these sound familiar? Body psychotherapy, which is a branch of psychotherapy that focuses on the interactions between the body and the mind, is based on the principle that the body and mind work in functional unity. Body psychotherapy, which is considered a branch of somatic psychology, is based on the concept that we experience the world not only with our feelings and thoughts, but also with our bodies. He believes that many of the problems that affect emotional well-being are caused by the tension and load that is held in the body and disrupts the regulation of our nervous system. These effects; While it can be experienced through psychosomatic symptoms such as headache, insomnia, fatigue, chronic pain, it can disrupt our daily functions by affecting our relationships, mood and quality of life. Body psychotherapy is very effective in the treatment of psychological problems such as developmental trauma, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, losses, long-term illnesses, insecurity, eating disorders, addiction, and stress. As a body-focused psychologist, I can't wait to explore your resources together on the journey of listening to the magic intelligence of our body and noticing our bodily sensations and increasing our bodily awareness! With respect and love,
